Charge Card Rewards
Try to find credit cards with reward programs. These days there are so many different offers it can be hard to keep track of what is available out there. The most common types are frequent flier miles and cash back programs. Additionally, there are shopping rewards and other gift programs that also require a certain level of financial commitment. For example, you may think you're getting a free flight, but after extra fees and associated expenses, you may find yourself paying dearly for that supposed vacation.
Lastly, if you're not using a card, it's probably a good idea to cancel it. If you aren't using a card to build up credit, then it's not doing you any good. Even worse, if you're carrying a balance, interest will accrue each month and end up taking out a big chunk of your paycheck. Then there's the matter of the annual fee. Even if you don't have a balance, why should you pay fifty, one hundred, or even more every year for no benefit? By sticking to these general themes, you should be able to keep your financial head above water for the foreseeable future.
